Nissan R91CP

Competition

The history of Group C racing cars of Nissan started in 1983. At first, Nissan engines were mounted on chassis manufactured by March Engineering Ltd. or Lola Cars International Ltd. to run at WEC (World Endurance Championship) races and domestic endurance races (JSPC). But the number of in-house products drastically increased on and after Nissan R90. This is R91CP with new carbon monocoquedesigned by Nissan. This is the memorable machine that achieved the first overall victory as Japanese car at Rolex 24 At Daytona in 1992, steered by M. Hasemi, K. Hoshino and T. Suzuki. The excellent total balance of powerful VRH35Z engine and carefully tuned chassis led to this feat.
